Each module or thematic section in the course offers a group facilitation guide - to support your facilitate conversations within your organizations. They are meant to offer support and guidance and should be adapted to meet your needs.

Plan for facilitation

If you are leading the group, please complete the entire course, including the solo activity ahead of time. You may choose to assign the whole course if your team or organization has individual licenses to Teachable, or you may choose a handful of pre-reads to send out ahead of time. 

Create a Run of Show 

Getting organized is key! See our sample Run of Show and template. 

If you are new to facilitation, we recommend scripting the conversation so that you feel confident with group facilitation. You’ll notice that our sample also has images of the associated presentation - this is a best practice. 

Build a deck and whiteboard

Presentations are helpful to support visual learners, and whiteboard and writing offer opportunities for input and interaction. Here’s our sample whiteboard and deck - you can use this or build your own. Note: This deck is designed to go with the Gender module within this course. You can duplicate this deck for your own use, or use other platforms such as Google Jamboard, Mural and more.
