Course Tips

We have a few recommendations to make the most of this course and each module. 

  • Keep a journal 

You can go old school with a notebook - 📓 any notebook or notepad will serve the purpose. Writing goes a long way in improving your memory for new information. A 2017 study found that brain regions associated with learning are more active when people complete a task by hand. 

Now, your handwriting may be illegible (I know that mine is) , so it’s okay to keep track of your thoughts and writing prompts in One Note, Notes, or a running Word document or journal pages that we designed as companions for all of the modules.

  • Challenge yourself

Throughout this process, challenge yourself to take risks, speak up (or take a back seat), and try new ways of working, connecting with others, and making tangible changes in your day-to-day life. 

  • Learn in a group 

Throughout this course, we recommend watching movies, docu-series, listening to podcasts, and reading articles. You can do them solo or in a group, or complete solo and process in a group. 

The key is processing learning in a group. Learning with others (similar to working out with a group) leads to - 

  • A greater ability to view situations from others' perspectives; 
  • A deeper understanding of the content; 
  • Higher levels of intrinsic motivation to learn and achieve; and 
  • Lower levels of anxiety and stress.
